St. Croix Inshore Fishing
Inshore fishing is an excellent way to spend the day with rod in hand casting to fish rather than trolling and waiting for a bite. Although the fish are smaller than those encountered while fishing offshore, many people prefer to spend the day casting and catching greater numbers of smaller fish.
All inshore fishing aboard Jade Hook is done with high quality light-tackle spinning gear or fly fishing gear. Fishing is primarily done by drifting live bait or casting lures. Likely fish to encounter while inshore fishing on St. Croix are tarpon, snook, bonefish, snapper, mackerel, jacks, and barracuda.
